Headteacher Message

Dear Parents

I hope this message finds you well and that your children have enjoyed their first week of the new academic year at Treviglas Academy.

I have been hugely impressed with the way our students have returned, and in particular with how our new Year 7 and Year 12 students have settled in. Students across the whole school have been brilliant and have been a credit to you.

This week, I have held assemblies with all year groups to remind them of my ambition for Treviglas to be a kind and calm school where students achieve great things every day. I have challenged them to focus relentlessly and consistently on two things this year: be kind and work hard. These simple values underpin the culture we have developed at Treviglas—one that is now being noticed by schools across the county and beyond.

Thank you for your patience last week as we transitioned to the new BROMCOM and MCAS systems. The process has not been as smooth as I would have liked, but we are committed to resolving the issues encountered, particularly with lunch money accounts for new students. At present, it is likely that we will continue to use ParentPay for lunch money only for the foreseeable future. For Year 7 parents, once this decision is confirmed, we will share the details with you at the start of the week so that you can sign up.

Also, as of Friday, hopefully all students should now be able to sign in to the Student Portal for MCAS. We are still working on how the access it through the 'app'.

Finally, I would like to remind you of the importance of excellent attendance. Mr Wilson has already highlighted how vital this is, not only for academic success but also for students’ wellbeing. Every day in school makes a real difference.

Thank you for your ongoing support
