We are delighted to welcome into Post 16 both our own students from Year 11 and new students, who choose to join Treviglas Sixth Form Learning Centre.
Our students have a good track record of high performance: we have achieved a 100% pass rate at A level over the past three years and the progress of our students has placed us above national averages and near the top of all schools and colleges in Cornwall.
While we are thrilled that so many students are choosing to study at our college and we are as committed as ever to putting “Personalised Learning” at the heart of everything we do: we know our students and we work to support each one to reach the very highest level of individual potential. Our commitment to you as an individual will make your personal success much more likely.
We understand that the transition from GCSE to A’ level, OCR and BTEC qualifications can be challenging. Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff will guide you through Year 11 when you are making your choices, as well as through your Post 16 years. Most importantly, we make sure from the outset that you follow the right subjects for you and your personal tutor will mentor you individually throughout your course.
Our main aim is that you enjoy your Post 16 education; that you are successful in your studies and that you develop the personal skills to take you forward into higher education, employment and training. We know that employers and universities are not only looking for academic qualifications, but for students who have wide-ranging skills and interests. Choosing to take part in our extra-curricular activities and our Work Experience programme will not only be enjoyable but will increase your chances of success.
This online guide contains a list of the courses we offer as well as quotes from current and past students. More detailed subject information will be available at our Post 16 evening on 15th November and is available on request at Student Services.
