Monday to Thursday 8.30-5.00
Friday 8.30-3.30
Resources
The Library Resource Centre has a range of resources tailored specifically to the courses run at the College as well as general interest items on topics such as cars, sport and pets. We have:-
CD-ROMS, CASSETTES, COMPUTERS, BOOKS, MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPERS
The students also have links to other local and national libraries if we cannot find information in college.
Helping Students find Information
A programme of library sessions are designed to help Year 7 classes
We will be using the house system to show pupils when they can use the library at break and lunchtime.
Monday - Fistral
Tuesday - Porth
Wednesday - Towan
Thursday - Tolcarne
Friday - Year 7 library clubs
There will be prefects from each house on duty each house day and they will ensure the library is a quiet place in which students can research library resources, use the computers for information or read quietly. Mrs Good or Mrs Wootton will be on hand to help anyone with their research or to help with finding and issuing resources
Rules of the Library
- The library should be quiet at all times
- There will be no food or drink brought into the library
- Bags will be placed on the shelves provided
- Computers are for research or typing up assignments
- Chairs should not be moved around the library
- Students should move around the library slowly and carefully-no running
