Transport Policy
This policy is available on the internet. Parents or carers have a duty to ensure that their children attend school and to make any necessary transport arrangements. The County Council provides free transport services in certain circumstances and can also use its discretion to provide or help towards transport costs in other circumstances. The link below will provide details of the arrangements that the County Council has decided will apply to school and college transport services and explains how the entitlement is established. A summary of the transport policy is also published in the Authority's "Information for Parents" leaflet and in the composite prospectuses published each year for the parents of carers of children starting school for the first time or transferring from Primary to secondary school.
Please note that the late bus will now leave Treviglas at 5 p.m.

Bus/Coach Transport
It is possible there may be spare seats on contract vehicles and, if so, these seats can be made available to children who live within three miles of the college, on the understanding that the availability of such a seat cannot be guaranteed in the future. The County Council makes a charge for the seat.
If a season ticket or bus pass is lost, a replacement fee of £5 will be charged. The application for a replacement should be made direct to the transport division of County Hall using forms available form the college office. A temporary bus pass will be issued by the college office.
Please remember that, although the college is willing to help with parental concerns about transport, it is the Transport Officer, County Hall, not the college, who is responsible for the service provided and he should be contacted in the first instance.
Any representation about transport should be made to:

Late-buses
On most nights of the week, buses and taxis are provided at 17.00 in order to provide transport home for students involved in clubs, support lessons, extra-curricular activities and catch-up classes. Passes for these buses and taxis are issued by the college after parents or guardians have completed the appropriate request and permission letter.
Bicycles
Bicycles may be ridden to college only if a written request is received from parents and the bicycle is in a roadworthy condition. All bicycles must be kept in the cycle rack and should be padlocked. Whilst we will do our best to ensure the security of bicycles, parents should take out their own insurance for loss, theft or damage.
Bicycles must always be ridden in a safe manner and we would advise cyclists to wear a helmet. Bicycles should be equipped with lights, reflectors and safety equipment as appropriate.
Cars and Motor Cycles
Students who are old enough to have the appropriate licence may drive cars and motor cycles to college only if they have been given permission of the Headteacher or Deputy.
This permission will only be given if all the required insurance regulations are satisfied and only if there is a parking space available.
