Welcome to the ICT faculty at Treviglas Community College. Our faculty philosophy is excellent teaching with e-learning to enhance learning. We aim to give students of all abilities equal opportunities to learn a wide and enriched ICT curriculum to prepare them for their future in life. We have high expectations for our students to achieve their potential and beyond in this subject.

We aim to provide a quality and interactive learning experience, which is free from disruption and in a secure environment. Consistency of expectations and standards is of up-most importance within the faculty.

At present, students receive the following ICT curriculum:

  • At KS3, students follow the National ICT Secondary Strategy. Year 9 follow the ICT Functional Skills and start the Level 2 OCR Nationals in ICT in the summer term.
  • At KS4, students follow the Level 2 OCR Nationals in ICT and Level 2 OCR Preparation for Employment.
  • At KS5, students follow the OCR GCE in Applied ICT and Level 3 OCR Nationals in ICT.

All ICT courses, schemes of learning, deadlines, exemplar work and homeworks are now on our ICT Moodle. Please add it to your favourites!

We will be offering training to parents and carers on how to utilise this virtual learning environment to its potential. Please watch this space.
