PORTH HOUSE continues to support the Cornish based charity "Shelterbox" which provides support for people who have suffered due to difficult circumstances within their country. In July, we were able to present a cheque for over £1600 thanks to lots of hard work raising funds. Our Charity Day in April was a major contributor to this total – Thank you Porth Students!

We continue to celebrate huge successes in our house. In our midst, we have Champion Kick-Boxers, members of team GB and County Rugby players to mention a few. There is no doubt that 2011-12 will be another great year with many more 'golden' moments.

Last academic year Porth Tutors worked closely with Year 11 students and we are pleased to announce that Porth students were very successful in their KS4 examinations. We wish all students embarking on their next educational steps every success in their future pathways.

This academic year tutors will continue to mentor Year 7 and KS4 students enabling progress and help them to reach their true potential. We look forward to an enterprising, enjoyable and energetic year, where all Porth students continue to strive for excellence.
