Primary Swedish masterclass for talented linguists

Recently 11 students from Newquay Junior Academy, Goonhavern Primary School and St Columb Minor Academy spent two hours at Treviglas Community College working with Year 9 students, the Head of Languages and our French assistant. The students spent their time learning to speak Swedish and by the end of the session were pretty fluent in introducing themselves and talking about their pets. Students also developed their enterprise skills; resilience, communication and collaboration. Nerves quickly disappeared and all students were very involved in all the different activities.

They were a fantastic asset to their schools and the Year 9 students, Jas and Joe, were brilliant at both working with the students and leading episodes of teaching.
