MFL Festive Activities for Primary Children

The Modern Foreign Languages Faculty at Treviglas has been delighted to welcome children from years 5 and 6 from St Columb Minor Academy for a lesson about Christmas celebrations. The children learnt about how Christmas and advent (including St Nicholas on 6th December) are celebrated in various countries around the world. They also listened to some Christmas carols from France, Germany, Spain and Sweden.

Treviglas staff were ably assisted by student helpers from Years 7 and 10. The students took part in various activities and were able to practise their French and Spanish skills. Treviglas staff were impressed by their enthusiasm and participation; most popular was the French bingo game using Christmas pictures. We look forward to similar events with our partner primary schools in the future.
