Prospectus: Introduction
Dear Everyone
If you open the front door of Treviglas Community College you will find a busy, buzzing community filled with talented youngsters. Each and every one of our students has a great many skills and talents that we aim to encourage and develop to the very highest level of his or her potential. Treviglas is a specialist college which is very proud of what Ofsted called its ‘outstanding’ curriculum which allows each individual to choose a pathway that will give the greatest satisfaction and ability to move forward. Treviglas is an enterprising college which aims to develop those skills which truly equip young people for success. Every child who attends Treviglas is challenged to succeed and we ask all parents to help us in this; we need parents to help with homework, with fieldwork, to come to Academic Review days, to take part in our focus groups and to support the charity work of our young people - above all, to work with us to give our children the very best opportunities. This year Treviglas succeeded in adding value to the education of its students to the extent that the college was catapulted into the top 10% of schools in the country for doing so. We aim to go on doing that.
