MEET THE TEAM!

Nick Ward - Deputy Head

Nick is a Deputy Head who oversees achievement across the college. He is a science teacher in his 4th year at Treviglas and is in his 12th year of teaching.  

Gemma Harries - English

Gemma is in her second year of teaching. She is an English teacher who tells friends and family ‘teaching is the best job in the world!’ Gemma has a specific interest in intervention and feels that personalising students’ learning will encourage each student to enjoy and achieve at Treviglas.

Adam Gustafsson - Science

Adam has key responsibilities within Science and Post 16. He is an enthusiastic teacher specialising in practical skills and visual learning. He is both a SCITT and Skills Academy mentor and has achieved excellent results across the key stages during his time at Treviglas. Adam is interested in using data analysis to help improve achievement.

Daniel Hopkins - Maths

Daniel is in his fifth year of teaching. Having taught in three schools he is thoroughly enjoying his time at Treviglas. As a Maths teacher he has a keen interest in analysing pupil data and organising intervention that improves both attainment and enjoyment in Maths.

 

Claire Hanning - Art
 
Claire is an experienced teacher and is a key member of the Student Achievement Team. As achievement tutor she ensures there is positive intervention happening across the foundation subjects. Within this role her specialism is working with the Year 11 Success Group. She identifies those in most need of support and works with mentors to achieve the desired results. As a teacher of Art and Photography Claire has had many successes and is enjoying working with the team.

The Student Achievement Team:
 
The Student Achievement Team is a dedicated team of five teachers lead by Nick Ward. Our main objective is to raise levels of achievement across the college for all students. In order to achieve a consistent and successful approach we have designed the ‘Achievement Cycle’ which we employ at all levels within the college
