The Enterprise Academy was set up two years ago to address the needs of those students for whom a more vocational curriculum would be appropriate and to provide opportunities for personalised learning.
Targeted students are invited to join the Enterprise Academy where, alongside GCSEs in core subjects of English, Maths and Science, students study two vocational options.
Enterprise Academy options offer a unique learning experience. Some of the optional courses are taught by qualified teachers off site at locations such as Lusty Glaze and Camborne College.
Optional subjects on offer include Art and Design, Travel and Tourism, Hair and Beauty, Health and Social care, Catering and Public Services which all have a GCSE equivalent of 2-4 grade Cs.
This years results for the college included the first Year 11 cohort of the Enterprise Academy and the results were staggeringly good!. All Enterprise Students exceeded their expected levels and this has led to 100%of Enterprise students either entering employment with training or continuing their education at 6th form or college level.
